The Hall Of Fantasy was a thirty-minute radio drama conceived, written, directed, and produced by Richard Thorne. The first series of shows aired on station KALL in Salt Lake City, Utah during the late 1940's, and consisted of 26 episodes. These first shows were sponsored by the Granite Furniture Company, and were more the standard murder mystery than later, supernatural themed episodes. This series ended May 4, 1947.

Series 2: 1949-1952

The series returned to the airwaves again in 1949, moving with Thorne to station WGN in Chicago. With the new station came a new format, and the mysteries took on a supernatural theme. This series consisted of 112 shows and aired locally on radio station WGN, Chicago. It started on Saturdays at 2:30 PM but after 21 shows, moved to Mondays at 9:00 PM. Later, it moved to 9:30 PM.

Series 3: 1952

On August 22, 1952, Hall Of Fantasy went nationwide, over Mutual stations. It started as a short series of six shows over WGN, Chicago and other Mutual stations on the East Coast. The shows were heard on Fridays, from 8:30 to 9:00 PM.

Series 4: 1953

This series is where most of the episodes still available are from. It consisted of 39 shows airing from January 5, 1953 to September 28, 1953 on Monday's at 7:30PM.
